{"id":7428,"date":"2023-09-05T13:06:37","date_gmt":"2023-09-05T13:06:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=7428"},"modified":"2023-09-05T13:53:57","modified_gmt":"2023-09-05T13:53:57","slug":"irans-petrochemical-chief-woos-foreign-investors-with-150b-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/7428\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran\u2019s petrochemical chief woos foreign investors with $150b projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 Iran\u2019s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) managing director has highlighted investment opportunities to attract foreign investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investment opportunities in Iran\u2019s petrochemical industry worth around $150 billion will be created for the next 10 years, added Morteza Shahmirzaei on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He made the remarks at the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Chinese consortium on providing technical know-how and implementing a project of Fanavaran Petro Olefin Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The signing of the memorandum with the affiliated companies of the Tamin Petroleum &amp; Petrochemical Investment Company (TAPPICO) marks the start of promoting future cooperation between Iran\u2019s petrochemical sector and Chinese companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neighboring and like-minded countries have the opportunity to cooperate with Iran for investing, developing technologies, and transferring technical know-how, Shahmirzaei continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Touching upon long history of the two countries\u2019 cooperation, the NPC CEO expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government and companies for defying some countries\u2019 unilateralism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chinese companies can cooperate in Iran\u2019s petrochemical development projects in Mahshahr, Assaluyeh, Jask, and Makran hubs, he pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Underlining NPC\u2019s policy on indigenizing all types of technical know-how, catalysts, and equipment, he said, \u201cThe signing of the MoU is also in line with the company\u2019s policy and aimed at speeding up development of the industry and completion of its value chain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trilateral MoU was inked by Navid Shahidinia, acting head of Fanavaran Petro Olefin Company, an affiliate of Fanavaran Petrochemical Company, and the Chinese consortium in the presence of the NPC chief.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-09-05T13:53:57+00:00\"> 5 September 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 Iran\u2019s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) managing director has highlighted investment opportunities to attract foreign investors.
