{"id":6850,"date":"2023-08-05T12:35:10","date_gmt":"2023-08-05T12:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=6850"},"modified":"2023-08-05T12:35:11","modified_gmt":"2023-08-05T12:35:11","slug":"iran-self-sufficient-in-making-75-main-parts-of-gas-compressor-stations-despite-sanctions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/6850\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran self-sufficient in making 75 main parts of gas compressor stations despite sanctions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>According to Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 The Iranian Gas Transmission Company (IGTC) managing director on Saturday said the country has so far become self-sufficient in manufacturing 75 main parts of gas compressor stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gholam-Abbas Hosseini, who made the remarks in a press conference, pointed to knowledge-based firms\u2019 cooperation with IGTC and added 450 others are being made inside the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, he continued, the country has also become self-sufficient in manufacturing two types of gas turbines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iranian Gas Transmission Company is making the optimum use of homegrown equipment and products, underlined the IGTC CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the company is now using Iranian-made oil and air and gas filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oil Ministry Javad Owji had earlier announced that Iran is also self-sufficient in constructing oil and gas refineries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Touching upon the country\u2019s daily gas transmission capacity, he put it at one billion cubic meters per day (bcm\/d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sanctions fail<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran have failed to disrupt the country\u2019s progress in different areas, including oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May, U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham confirmed the rise in Iran\u2019s oil revenues, confessing to the ineffectiveness of the sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Washington has imposed toughest economic sanctions against Tehran after unilaterally withdrawing from the 2015 nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, in May 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 6, the U.S. government leveled new sanctions targeting international companies facilitating Iran&#8217;s oil and petrochemical exports to East Asia, S&amp;P Global reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 26, Iran\u2019s oil minister described his country\u2019s crude exports as \u201cfavorable\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owji said oil products and exports were climbing in spite of \u201charsher\u201d sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that promotion of energy diplomacy and relations with Asian, African, and Latin American countries has helped Iran create new markets for selling its oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister added international institutes, which monitor the countries\u2019 oil exports, have reported the hike in Iran\u2019s output and exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 29, the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) managing director, however, said some foreign countries have called for cooperation with Iran in the petrochemical sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morteza Shahmirzaei added Iran\u2019s achievements in the petrochemical industry have motivated some foreign states to have cooperation with the country and import Iranian-made products, equipment, and catalysts.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-08-05T12:35:11+00:00\"> 5 August 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"According to Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 The Iranian Gas Transmission Company (IGTC) managing director on Saturday said the country has so far become self-sufficient in manufacturing 75 main parts of gas compressor stations.
