{"id":6832,"date":"2023-08-04T12:06:06","date_gmt":"2023-08-04T12:06:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=6832"},"modified":"2023-09-13T12:26:51","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T12:26:51","slug":"pseez-head-projects-worth-over-21b-underway-in-south-pars-zone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/6832\/","title":{"rendered":"PSEEZ head: Projects worth over $21b underway in South Pars zone"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>According to Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 The Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) managing director on Thursday said 27 projects worth more than $21 billion are in progress in the South Pars field, southern Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking in a meeting between the country\u2019s executive managers and South Pars oil managers, Sekhavat Asadi added, \u201cIn spite of sanctions, $150 billion have been invested in upstream and downstream sectors of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four refinery-integrated petrochemical plants are under construction in the giant field, said the PSEEZ CEO, adding there will be no need to export gas condensates when the plants become operational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, 48 percent of the country\u2019s petrochemicals are produced in this zone and domestic output will double after the new petrochemical projects in the South Pars come on stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The zone\u2019s petrochemical complexes are fed by gas produced in the same zone, explained Asadi, continuing the Persian Gulf Star Refinery, which supplies 40 percent of the country\u2019s gasoline, receives its feedstock from gas condensates of the South Pars field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The value of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone\u2019s annual exports in the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 21, 2023, increased 40 percent, hitting $12.3 billion, he mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran\u2019s energy hub is among the strategic targets of the enemy, which is seeking to inflict a blow on the country, said Asadi, concluding that Iran\u2019s gas output is, however, higher than Qatar\u2019s now. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-09-13T12:26:51+00:00\"> 13 September 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"According to Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 The Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) managing director on Thursday said 27 projects worth more than $21 billion are in progress in the South Pars field, southern Iran.
