{"id":6052,"date":"2023-06-16T11:56:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T11:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=6052"},"modified":"2023-06-16T11:57:03","modified_gmt":"2023-06-16T11:57:03","slug":"iran-nicaragua-sign-co-op-documents-to-boost-economic-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/6052\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran, Nicaragua sign co-op documents to boost economic ties"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Roydad Naft News Agency &#8211; Iran and Nicaragua have signed three major cooperation documents as part of President Ebrahim Raisi\u2019s visit to the Latin American country, IRNA reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The documents were signed in a ceremony in Managua early on Thursday in the presence of President Raisi and Daniel Ortega, the president of Nicaragua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported, the documents signed between the two countries cover wide areas of cooperation including trade, economy, and health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the signing ceremony, Raisi stressed that the Iranian foreign policy is focused on the promotion of connections with independent states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that the situation of the world would be changed if the hegemonic states respected the will of the nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noting that both sides also agreed to cooperate in techno-scientific areas, Raisi said that the Islamic Republic has made significant technological progress despite the Western sanctions on the country, and Iran stands ready to share experiences with other nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iranian president also invited Ortega to pay a visit to Iran in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Raisi, on a tour of Latin America, visited Caracas where he met his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a press conference of the presidents of the two countries, Raisi said that Iran and Venezuela have the capacity to increase their annual trade exchanges to $20 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries was as few as $600 million two years ago while now the figure tops $3 billion.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-06-16T11:57:03+00:00\"> 16 June 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Roydad Naft News Agency &#8211; Iran and Nicaragua have signed three major cooperation documents as part of President Ebrahim Raisi\u2019s visit to the Latin American country, IRNA reported.
