{"id":5952,"date":"2023-06-12T12:45:49","date_gmt":"2023-06-12T12:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=5952"},"modified":"2023-06-12T12:47:00","modified_gmt":"2023-06-12T12:47:00","slug":"owji-on-latin-america-tour-to-boost-energy-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/5952\/","title":{"rendered":"Owji on Latin America tour to boost energy ties"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 Iran\u2019s Oil Minister Javad Owji on Monday began a tour of Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accompanying President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, the minister is heading a delegation to cement Iran\u2019s relations with Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba in the upstream and downstream sectors of the energy industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran and the three Latin American states will hold talks on cooperation in the fields of oil, gas, petrochemical, refinery, technical and engineering services, technology, exports, and human resources and will sign contracts and memorandums of understanding (MoUs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Raeisi remarks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talking prior to his departure for Venezuela, the president hailed \u2018cordial\u2019 political, economic, and trade relations between Iran with the three states, describing his country\u2019s energy cooperation with Latin America as \u201cgood\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raeisi referred to Iran\u2019s exports of technical and engineering services to the three countries as another field of their cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ties between Iran and independent states in Latin America are \u201cstrategic\u201d, he said and added, \u201cThe common stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the three countries of Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba is to stand up to hegemony and unilateralism.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June 2022, Iran and Venezuela signed a 20-year partnership agreement to boost their cooperation in different fields during Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro\u2019s visit to Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president is accompanied by a number of ministers and top officials.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-06-12T12:47:00+00:00\"> 12 June 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 Iran\u2019s Oil Minister Javad Owji on Monday began a tour of Latin America.
