{"id":5707,"date":"2023-05-29T13:01:36","date_gmt":"2023-05-29T13:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=5707"},"modified":"2023-05-29T13:03:00","modified_gmt":"2023-05-29T13:03:00","slug":"iran-oman-agree-to-conduct-joint-study-on-shared-hengam-oil-field","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/5707\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran, Oman agree to conduct joint study on shared Hengam oil field"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Roydad Naft News Agency \u2013 Iran and Oman on Sunday signed an agreement on their joint study on shared Hengam oil field in the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement, which was inked in the presence of Iran\u2019s President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi and Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, is aimed at preparing a Master Development Plan (MDP) for the joint oil field, and different scenarios for further development and bilateral cooperation on exploitation of the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement was signed following memorandums of understanding (MoUs) inked during last year\u2019s Oman visit of Iran\u2019s Oil Minister accompanying President Raeisi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran had earlier signed several MoUs with neighboring states on integrated development of joint fields, but none of them made progress and led to an agreement. This is the first agreement on cooperation between Iran and a neighboring country in a shared field.
