{"id":5688,"date":"2023-05-28T11:53:50","date_gmt":"2023-05-28T11:53:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=5688"},"modified":"2023-05-28T11:57:56","modified_gmt":"2023-05-28T11:57:56","slug":"saudi-arabia-buying-russian-diesel-and-sending-its-own-to-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/5688\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Saudi Arabia buying Russian diesel and sending its own to Europe&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Saudi Arabia is buying millions of barrels of Russian diesel, while selling its own supplies to European countries amid European bans on Russian fuels, according to a Bloomberg report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roydad Naft News Agency-The report, published on Thursday, said that Riyadh imported an average of 174,000 barrels a day of Russian diesel and gasoil in April and has already surpassed that figure this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Citing data compiled from analytics firm Kpler, the report said the kingdom has replaced Russia as Europe\u2019s top supplier since February when Europe imposed a ban on Russian fuel and other refined oil products as punishment for the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in December, the European Union, G7 countries, and Australia also slapped a $60-per-barrel cap on Russian crude to crimp Moscow\u2019s fossil fuel earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nevertheless, Bloomberg said roughly 35% of Saudi Arabia\u2019s overall exports of diesel and gasoil in April were shipped to the EU countries and the UK, while at the same time, the Russian-origin barrels arrived at the Saudi ports of Ras Tanura and Jizan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iman Nasseri, the managing director for the Middle East at consulting firm FGE, said Riyadh\u2019s imports of diesel-like fuels are expected to surge from an average of 31,500 barrels a day in 2022 to about 150,000 barrels a day during the remainder of 2023.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-05-28T11:57:56+00:00\"> 28 May 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia is buying millions of barrels of Russian diesel, while selling its own supplies to European countries amid European bans on Russian fuels, according to a Bloomberg report.
