{"id":5323,"date":"2023-05-11T14:21:41","date_gmt":"2023-05-11T14:21:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=5323"},"modified":"2023-05-11T14:22:39","modified_gmt":"2023-05-11T14:22:39","slug":"iran-iraq-oil-ministers-sign-mou","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/5323\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran, Iraq oil ministers sign MoU"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Iran\u2019s Oil Minister Javad Owji and his Iraqi counterpart Hayan Abdel-Ghani here on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the MoU inked in the presence of Iraq\u2019s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the two sides agreed to cooperate in oil, gas, and petrochemical projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owji and Sudani put emphasis on the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, urging Iran-Iraq Joint Working Group to follow up the implementation of the recent memorandum through holding regular sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iraqi prime minister brought forward proposals to develop joint fields, train human resources, and implement petrochemical projects, which were welcomed by the visiting Iranian oil minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran\u2019s oil minister also held talks with Iraqi Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heading a high-ranking delegation, Owji was officially welcomed by Iraqi Deputy Oil Minister Bassim Mohammed Khudair and Iran\u2019s Ambassador to Baghdad Mohammad-Kazem Al-e Sadeq on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 29, Iran\u2019s President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, who met his Iraqi counterpart Abdul Latif Rashid in Tehran, underlined the development of Tehran-Baghdad relations and promotion of their cooperation in infrastructure fields, including water, electricity, gas, and energy sectors.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-05-11T14:22:39+00:00\"> 11 May 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Iran\u2019s Oil Minister Javad Owji and his Iraqi counterpart Hayan Abdel-Ghani here on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
