{"id":5151,"date":"2023-05-01T13:25:40","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T13:25:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=5151"},"modified":"2023-05-01T13:28:43","modified_gmt":"2023-05-01T13:28:43","slug":"saudi-aramco-replaces-microsoft-as-the-worlds-second-largest-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/5151\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Aramco Replaces Microsoft As The World\u2019s Second-Largest Company"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Saudi Aramco is now the world\u2019s second-largest company in the world after overtaking Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Apple remains the world\u2019s largest company, Saudi Aramco reported a net profit that was significantly larger than any other company in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most recent surge in Aramco\u2019s shares was driven by the Crown Prince\u2019s decisions to transfer 4% of the state oil company to the Saudi sovereign wealth fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saudi Aramco has unseated Microsoft from the place of the world\u2019s second-largest company in terms of market value, boasting $2.11 trillion in value, second only to Apple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The change in ranking occurred last month after Aramco\u2019s shares rose on the news that the kingdom\u2019s Crown Prince will transfer 4% of the state oil company to an entity owned by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, Middle East Monitor&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleeastmonitor.com\/20230427-saudi-aramco-overtakes-microsoft-to-become-worlds-second-largest-company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transfer was made to strengthen the sovereign wealth fund\u2019s financial position and its credit rating, an official statement by prince Mohammed bin Salman said in mid-April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is a private transfer between the state and Sanabil, and the company is not a party to the transfer and did not enter into any agreements or pay or receive any proceeds from the transfer,&#8221; Aramco said in a stock exchange filing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/saudi-prince-gives-4-aramco-102538102.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cited<\/a>\u00a0by the Associated Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aramco&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aramco.com\/en\/news-media\/news\/2023\/aramco-announces-full-year-2022-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;a net profit of $161.1 billion for 2022, up from $110 billion a year earlier and a record net earnings result for the company, which joins every other big oil producer in the world to benefit from higher oil prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That figure also made Aramco the world\u2019s most profitable company last year, ahead of Apple and the rest of Big Tech. The 2022 profit figure was, in fact, higher than the profits of Apple, Exxon, and Microsoft combined, Middle East Monitor noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oil company also boasted a record cash flow from operating activities, at $186.2 billion, and a record free cash flow, at $148.5 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In comments on the company\u2019s results, chief executive Amin Nasser noted that he expected oil and gas demand across the world to remain robust, fueling the future growth of the company.
