{"id":4994,"date":"2023-04-24T13:04:37","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T13:04:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=4994"},"modified":"2023-04-24T13:05:46","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T13:05:46","slug":"npc-chief-one-petrochemical-project-to-be-inaugurated-each-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/4994\/","title":{"rendered":"NPC chief: One petrochemical project to be inaugurated each month"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>The managing director of Iran\u2019s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) on Monday announced that one petrochemical project will be inaugurated on average each month of the current Iranian calendar year starting March 21..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morteza Shahmirzaei, who is also the deputy oil minister, added the industry\u2019s nominal production capacity will soar to around 95 million tons by mid-March 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talking in a press conference on the 14th Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF), he said 70 petrochemical complexes having a nominal output capacity of 92 million tons are now producing more than 550 grades of chemical and polymer products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the official, experts, scientists, and industrialists from over 15 countries will attend the 14th Iran Petrochemical Forum, which will be held in Tehran from May 1-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IPF \u2018a good opportunity\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shahmirzaei last Wednesday said the forum will provide \u201ca good opportunity\u201d to acquire the world\u2019s modern technical know-how and indigenize technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He made the remarks at the third session of the Executive Working Group on the 14th IPF and added the forum will help the petrochemical industry achieve its specified goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He put great emphasis on balanced development and continued, \u201cIran has manufactured a great number of petrochemical equipment and products and is moving on a path toward self-sufficiency, acquiring technical know-how, and producing catalysts by relying on its scientists and researchers\u2019 knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NPC head added, \u201cWe need to promote quality of petrochemical products and produce strategic products to meet the needs of midstream and downstream industries.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BRICS to meet at forum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) will for the first time attend the Iran Petrochemical Forum, announced an NPC official last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NPC Planning and Development Director Hassan Abbaszadeh added, \u201cThe 14th IPF will provide a suitable opportunity for cooperation between domestic and foreign companies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upcoming forum, he continued, will also help Iranian companies introduce their latest achievements and plans and the country\u2019s new opportunities for investment in its petrochemical industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abbaszadeh said the forum will revolve around the completion of value chain and balanced development of the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of expert-level sessions will be held during the forum, mentioned the director, adding BRICS members have been scheduled to discuss Iran\u2019s cooperation with the group.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-04-24T13:05:46+00:00\"> 24 April 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The managing director of Iran\u2019s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) on Monday announced that one petrochemical project will be inaugurated on average each month of the current Iranian calendar year starting March 21..
