{"id":4157,"date":"2023-03-10T14:53:56","date_gmt":"2023-03-10T14:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=4157"},"modified":"2023-03-10T14:53:57","modified_gmt":"2023-03-10T14:53:57","slug":"gazprom-says-burmistrova-steps-down-as-gazprom-export-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/4157\/","title":{"rendered":"Gazprom says Burmistrova steps down as Gazprom Export chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Kremlin-controlled energy giant Gazprom\u00a0(GAZP.MM)said on Friday that Elena Burmistrova was stepping down as the head of Gazprom Export and was moving to Gazprombank as its first vice-president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also said that Dmitry Khandoga, in charge of Gazprom&#8217;s international business, would be acting director general of Gazprom Export.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The managerial changes at Gazprom, the world&#8217;s largest natural gas producer by output, are taking place against the background of plummeting gas exports to Europe, the company&#8217;s key source of revenues, as a consequence of the conflict in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gazprom&#8217;s\u00a0natural gas exports\u00a0outside the former Soviet Union almost halved last year to around 101 billion cubic metres (bcm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Burmistrova had worked as Gazprom Export&#8217;s director general since 2014. She oversaw Gazprom&#8217;s record-high pipeline gas exports of more than 200 bcm in 2018, after which she declared that level to be the &#8220;new reality&#8221; for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gazprom, a linchpin of Russia&#8217;s commodity-dependent economy with annual sales accounting for around 5% of the country&#8217;s $2 trillion gross domestic product, is still headed by Alexei Miller, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gazprom also said on Friday that Vitaly Markelov, Gazprom&#8217;s Deputy CEO, will take charge of the company&#8217;s operations on the natural gas market.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-03-10T14:53:57+00:00\"> 10 March 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Kremlin-controlled energy giant Gazprom\u00a0(GAZP.MM)said on Friday that Elena Burmistrova was stepping down as the head of Gazprom Export and was moving to Gazprombank as its first vice-president.
