{"id":4100,"date":"2023-03-08T13:36:34","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T13:36:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=4100"},"modified":"2023-03-08T13:36:36","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T13:36:36","slug":"petrochemicals-leading-in-irans-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/4100\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Petrochemicals leading in Iran\u2019s exports\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), said that petrochemical products are leading in the country&#8217;s exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mohammad Rezvani-Far said that petrochemicals account for 45 percent of the value of Iran\u2019s non-oil export.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As stated by Iran\u2019s National Petrochemical Company (NPC)\u2019s Managing Director Morteza Shahmirzaei, the petrochemical sector has the highest added value in the oil industry chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official has put the country\u2019s annual petrochemical production capacity at 90 million tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSome products were not considered in the previous periods and we were faced with their import at the cost of five billion dollars\u201d, he said, adding, \u201cThe products of the propylene chain are of special importance and include 70 percent of the total petrochemical imports. To reduce the dependency, the petrochemical company has focused on the development of value chain projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NPC\u2019s managing director further stressed that the petrochemical industry is a value and job-creating industry, which has no risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official said that 69 production units (including three service units that provide services such as water, electricity, and steam for production units) are now active in the petrochemical industry of Iran, which plays a significant role in bringing foreign currency to the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in his remarks, Shahmirzaei stressed that domestic production should be realized in all sectors of the petrochemical industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A small part is still remaining so that this target will be achieved, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petrochemical Research and Technology Company and Research Institute of Petroleum Industry in addition to the other related institutes and centers are taking all efforts in this due, the official added.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-03-08T13:36:36+00:00\"> 8 March 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), said that petrochemical products are leading in the country&#8217;s exports.
