{"id":2927,"date":"2022-12-31T14:56:28","date_gmt":"2022-12-31T14:56:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=2927"},"modified":"2022-12-31T14:56:30","modified_gmt":"2022-12-31T14:56:30","slug":"russia-plans-to-export-energy-via-gas-swap-with-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/2927\/","title":{"rendered":"Russia plans to export energy via gas swap with Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Deputy Prime Minister of Russia for Construction and Regional Policy Alexander Novak has announced that gas export to Afghanistan and Pakistan can be carried out by means of a gas swap with Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Novak told TASS news agency, \u201cIf we talk about perspective, this includes exports of gas to Afghanistan, Pakistan \u2013 either using the infrastructure projects of Central Asia or through a swap from the territory of Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat is, we will receive their gas in the south of the country, and in exchange we will supply gas to the north for Iranian consumers,&#8221; the deputy prime minister noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also said earlier that Russia and Iran may reach an agreement on swap supplies of oil and gas by the end of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We expect around 5 mln tons [of oil] per year and up to 10 bln cubic meters [of gas] at the first stage,&#8221; Novak added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Russian official also declared that Moscow is holding talks with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to increase gas supply for the two countries\u2019 markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Novak, the gas supply from Russia to China can reach 100 billion cubic meters per annum and Moscow can also increase the volume through Turkiye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mikhail Galuzin, Russia&#8217;s Deputy Foreign Minister, told TASS that Astana and Tashkent are ready to pursue a joint venture with Russia in terms of establishing a gas union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no big obstacle in the way of implementing the idea, but many systemic efforts, including expert-level evaluations, are needed, which are underway by the three countries, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders from Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan held talks the establishment of a tripartite gas union at the Kremlin on November 28.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2022-12-31T14:56:30+00:00\"> 31 December 2022<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Deputy Prime Minister of Russia for Construction and Regional Policy Alexander Novak has announced that gas export to Afghanistan and Pakistan can be carried out by means of a gas swap with Iran.
