The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) said about 329 million cubic feet (mcf) of associated petroleum gas (APG) is being flared in the fields operated by his company, adding the gas collection project of the Nargesi field with a daily capacity of 17 mcf and the Gachsaran 1 and 3 projects with a daily capacity of 100 mcf have come online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to NISOC, Alireza Daneshi said on Thursday that in the direction of reforming affairs, extensive measures have been taken, planning was done to return to the conditions before the sanctions and to increase production, and fortunately, in March, the ability to return to the conditions before the sanctions was achieved at NISOC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NISOC accounts for over 80% of Iran\u2019s total crude oil production capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated that in the past, NISOC lacked proper and efficient planning, and stated: \u201cThis year, we have been able to achieve short-term plans, and for 2023, we have developed medium-term plans of three to five years in order to reach the predetermined goals in the field of increasing production capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NISOC CEO outlined some measures regarding the identification of stagnant projects, and said: \u201cWith the screening done at the level of this company, 66 projects that had been abandoned for years due to the lack of facilities, sanctions and some structural problems, have been resumed by correcting the relevant matters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daneshi stated: \u201cIn the past, about 3 million items of goods in the warehouses of NISOC did not have ID cards, and with the implementation of the item ID card project, we were able to identify the items needed by the facilities in the warehouses and start the stagnant projects by providing them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further stated that, unfortunately, about 329 mcf of gas is being flared on a daily basis in the fields under the supervision of NISOC, adding: \u201cIn this context, the gas collection project in the Nargesi field with a daily capacity of about 17 mcf and Gachsaran 1 and 3 projects with 100 mcf of capacity have been successfully operated.\u201d<\/p>\n
