RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Iran\u2019s Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Company has set a world record with 101 consecutive days of uninterrupted urea production, achieving 110% of its approved production target and earning formal recognition from Toyo, the Japanese licensor of the urea unit.<\/p>\n

According to Roydad Naft, citing the public relations department of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company, the petrochemical complex produced 513,000 metric tons of granular urea during the first six months of the year, despite challenges stemming from the war, regional conditions and natural gas imbalances. The figure represents 110% of the approved production target and the company\u2019s highest production level in the past five years.<\/p>\n

During the same period, the complex also achieved 101 consecutive days of stable production without washing the granulation box, described as the first experience of its kind worldwide. The achievement drew formal praise and recognition from Toyo, the Japanese licensor of the unit.<\/p>\n

101 Consecutive Days of Production Earn International Recognition<\/p>\n

Peyman Shah-Ovaysi, CEO of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company, detailed the achievement, saying that the urea and granulation units produced more than 306,000 metric tons of urea over 101 consecutive days without the slightest interruption.<\/p>\n

He said the uninterrupted production period and the fact that the granulation box did not require washing during that time represent a significant international record, which was formally recognized by the Japanese licensor at an official meeting.<\/p>\n

The granulation box was washed in late September as a fully planned preventive-maintenance operation. Shah-Ovaysi said the company\u2019s overall strategy is based on productivity-driven production, optimization of energy consumption, and intelligent protection of the complex\u2019s assets and equipment.<\/p>\n

Recovery From Temporary Shutdowns and Record Ammonia Production<\/p>\n

Referring to the challenges at the beginning of the year, he said the complex was forced to suspend operations for 17 days in March because of regional conditions and subsequently faced restrictions caused by natural gas imbalances.<\/p>\n

Despite these challenges, the company\u2019s workforce not only made up for the lost production but also produced 46,000 metric tons more urea than the approved six-month target.<\/p>\n

In the ammonia sector, the company also achieved a record 159 consecutive days of production during the first six months of the year, with the production run still continuing, marking the highest level of production stability in the complex\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

34.8 Million Cubic Meters of Gas Saved Through Lower Consumption Intensity<\/p>\n

The CEO of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Company described intelligent energy-consumption management as a key factor behind the achievement.<\/p>\n

He said that at a time when safeguarding every cubic meter of natural gas has strategic importance for Iran\u2019s economy, the company\u2019s production stability and continuity enabled it to use approximately 34.8 million cubic meters less natural gas to produce the same amount of product compared with the minimum consumption level recorded over the previous five years.<\/p>\n

This optimization reduced the complex\u2019s natural gas consumption per metric ton of urea to its lowest level in the company\u2019s history. At the same time, consumption of steam, water, electricity and chemicals also declined significantly.<\/p>\n

Record Ammonia Exports and Appreciation for Support<\/p>\n

Shah-Ovaysi also announced the sale and export of more than 15,000 metric tons of surplus ammonia, describing the volume as the highest ammonia export figure in the history of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Company.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that these successive achievements were made possible by the around-the-clock efforts, vigilance and rapid response of the complex\u2019s operational and administrative personnel, who prevented technical problems and external conditions from slowing down stable production.<\/p>\n

At the end of his remarks, the CEO of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company expressed special appreciation for the strategic support provided by Saba Energy Holding.<\/p>\n

He stressed that maintaining the company\u2019s record-breaking performance and achieving its full annual targets will depend on the continuous and stable supply of natural gas feedstock during the cold seasons.<\/p>\n
