RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0A major overhaul of the hot-gas path of the turbine and boiler on unit GTG-501B at Tabriz Petrochemical\u2019s power plant is under way on schedule, with specialists from several departments taking part.<\/p>\n

According to Roydad Naft, citing the company\u2019s public relations office, Shahab Asadi, maintenance-planning supervisor, said the project is running on a precise plan, using specialist capacity and meeting technical and safety requirements. Maintenance, operations, technical services, and support are involved.<\/p>\n

In machinery maintenance, the stationary blades and the upper half of the turbine\u2019s second-stage casing were dismantled and replaced with newly rebuilt blades. Consumable bearings were swapped for rebuilt units, and two blades on the lower casing were installed.<\/p>\n

Ceramic needed to insulate the sealing ring between the exhaust casing and the gearbox room has been installed, cover plates have been closed and adjusted, and supports for temperature thermocouples have been fitted.<\/p>\n

Testing of one oil and atomizing exchanger is complete, and closing of the related spools and valves has started. Remaining scrubber relief valves and the regulator have been closed, and work on valves and mechanical and instrument items is continuing.<\/p>\n

On the electrical side, air seals and inner walls on the gearbox side have been shimmed and closed, outer-wall rubber has been replaced and installed, and wall installation is finished. Insulation of the GAC room with special adhesive is complete, routine work on the related transformer is under way, motor cable terminations have been made, and repairs continue on 10 electric motors in the winding shop.<\/p>\n

Four turbine and boiler junction boxes were torqued in place, and 55 instrument items have been installed. Sixty-one repaired instruments have been moved from the instrument shop to the site, and fittings and tubes are being closed in the turbine gas room and the boiler gas station.<\/p>\n

Wire-brushing and painting of the boiler wall at the points specified by operations and technical inspection have started, as has painting of the GAC room. Inner boiler-wall sheets were corrected by the industrial metalwork unit, and insulation beneath them was completed by the insulation unit. Welding approval for the turbine silencer meshes has been obtained from industrial metalwork.<\/p>\n

Maintenance, operations, technical inspection, and support units are trying to finish every planned job on schedule, to technical and safety requirements, and at the highest quality possible, Asadi said.<\/p>\n
