He stressed the need to rebuild and restart those units quickly. The aim of the two-day trip, he said, was to review the challenges ahead and set operational steps to put the plants back on stream.<\/p>\n<p>A return of the petrochemical industry to full capacity is a national necessity, Shakeri said. The Oil Ministry is paying special attention to speeding reconstruction, and the oil minister has stressed that any obstacle on that path must be removed. The ministry is committed to standing with the petrochemical companies so the return to prewar conditions can move at the needed pace.<\/p>\n<p>A joint working group will follow the claims and problems of the damaged units, he said. Issues will be examined in detail and suitable remedies written. The end goal is a special support package for petrochemical plants in the Mahshahr region and the conditions for industrial activity to pick up again in that major hub.<\/p>\n<p>During the trip, Shakeri visited Bandar Imam, Karun, Amirkabir, and Razi petrochemical complexes and Fajr Energy Persian Gulf, and was briefed on the latest work at those sites.
