RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0 Khorasan Petrochemical has recorded 64 million man-hours of work without a fatal accident, with the company\u2019s CEO attributing the achievement to divine grace and the efforts of the company\u2019s past and present CEOs, managers and employees, while stressing the need to maintain safety requirements at every level of the organization.<\/p>\n

According to Roydad Naft, Issa Norouzipoor made the remarks at a ceremony marking Iran\u2019s National Safety and Firefighting Day on September 29, 2026, highlighting the company\u2019s achievement of the milestone.<\/p>\n

He said reaching 64 million man-hours without a fatal accident was the result of employees\u2019 sense of responsibility, cooperation and adherence to safety principles and regulations, adding that the achievement deserved recognition and appreciation.<\/p>\n

Norouzipoor emphasized the special importance of safety and firefighting in the petrochemical industry, saying firefighting is a symbol of sacrifice and selflessness, and that those who choose the profession and courageously enter burning environments to save human lives hold an important and valuable position.<\/p>\n

Referring to the importance of saving human lives in religious teachings, he said the Quran states that whoever saves one human life is as if they have saved the lives of all humanity.<\/p>\n

The Khorasan Petrochemical CEO stressed that safety is particularly critical in the petrochemical industry, saying everyone, regardless of position or rank, is responsible for complying with safety laws and regulations and must work to preserve and sustain the company\u2019s milestone of working without a fatal accident.<\/p>\n

Addressing employees of the safety and firefighting units, he said they should take pride in their profession because their efforts can help save the lives of people involved in accidents and help them regain their health and return to normal life.<\/p>\n

9,000 Hours of Safety Training for Employees<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mohammad Taheri, head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at Khorasan Petrochemical, presented a report on the unit\u2019s key activities and programs over the past year.<\/p>\n

Taheri identified employees\u2019 sense of duty, cooperation and coordination with the HSE unit and other departments as key factors behind the achievement of 64 million man-hours without a fatal accident.<\/p>\n

He said 9,000 hours of safety training had been provided to employees, adding that, alongside ongoing training, real-time monitoring and inspections, other measures had also contributed to improving safety standards at the complex. These included obtaining work permits, proper waste transfer, waste management and recycling, annual occupational health examinations, and compliance with health requirements.<\/p>\n

At the end of the ceremony, two leading safety units\u2014the Melamine Crystal Operations Unit and the Maintenance Services Unit\u2014were honored, along with 20 employees recognized for their outstanding performance in safety.<\/p>\n
