RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Brent crude futures rose $3.43, or 3.29%, to $107.75 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose $2.14, or 2.32%, to $94.55 a barrel.<\/p>\n

According to Roydad Naft, Brent crude jumped more than 3% on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump rejected Iran\u2019s peace proposal to end the conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, keeping tensions in the Middle East elevated.<\/p>\n

Brent crude futures rose $3.43, or 3.29%, to $107.75 a barrel at 5:40 a.m. GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $94.55 a barrel, up $2.14, or 2.32%.<\/p>\n

Iran announced a peace proposal last week at the U.N. General Assembly in New York, saying it had been transmitted to the Americans through Qatari mediators. Trump said on Saturday, September 26, that he had rejected the plan, but told Axios in a phone interview on Sunday, September 27, that he expected U.S. negotiators to hold more talks this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rejection has reduced hopes of an immediate breakthrough, although diplomatic efforts have not ended,\u201d said Sugandha Sachdeva, founder of SS WealthStreet, a New Delhi-based research firm.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Brent futures, $120 a barrel remains the crucial resistance. As long as prices fail to sustain above it, a pullback remains possible, particularly if shipping improves or talks make progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yemen\u2019s Saudi-led coalition said early Saturday that it had intercepted two ballistic missiles and two drones launched from Yemen toward the kingdom.<\/p>\n

Brent edged up 0.4% last week, but WTI lost 7.9% on concerns that the U.S. may ban diesel exports to ease record prices, a move that could curb U.S. refining output.<\/p>\n

\u201cRefined oil products remain a pressure point, with record U.S. diesel prices intensifying inflation risks and prompting renewed debate over potential export curbs,\u201d ANZ analysts said in a note.<\/p>\n

Any restriction on U.S. diesel exports would tighten supply outside the United States, with European prices reacting to the prospect of reduced American supply, they added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, crude oil exports from key Middle East producers rebounded in September to 12.8 million barrels per day, the highest since the war started in February, preliminary data from Kpler showed on Monday, as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates boosted exports.<\/p>\n

The rebound followed a recovery in shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, which were set to hit about 7.4 million barrels per day this month, the data showed, as Saudi Arabia diverted exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu to its eastern Ras Tanura port after attacks damaged its East-West pipeline.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Brent crude futures rose $3.43, or 3.29%, to $107.75 a barrel.
