RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Officials from the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park, the Oil Ministry and related bodies reviewed how to turn academic and knowledge-based capacity into working solutions for the oil industry.<\/p>\n

The meeting covered park companies in catalysts, polymers and advanced materials, joint research, financing for innovative schemes, R&D tax credits and faster commercialization, Roydad Naft reported, citing the park.<\/p>\n

Park president Ali Asadi said investment in that ecosystem builds specialist staff, technical knowledge and national technology capacity. Tehran faculty can help define industry problems, develop solutions and move know-how into plants. Joint investment vehicles among the park, large industries and financial institutions would cut risk and ease the path from prototypes to production. Incentives in the Knowledge-Based Production Leap Law should be used, he said.<\/p>\n

Seyed Farhang Fasihi, acting head of the Oil Ministry\u2019s research and technology office, said parks can speed industrial technology projects, but cooperation models and contracts need a redesign. Result-based contracts, clear financing, defined obligations and legal and financial support for investors are required. R&D tax credits should be used in a targeted way to pull large industries into research.<\/p>\n

Alireza Badiei, the university\u2019s industry-and-society director, said one-off ceremonial ties are not enough. There must be a set process for defining problems, choosing solutions, evaluating technology, financing and tracking results, with the Oil Ministry coordinating industry, the university and tech firms.<\/p>\n

Mehdi Faridvand, CEO of the University of Tehran Research and Technology Fund, said specialist guarantees and targeted facilities can lower project risk and build trust among industrial companies, investors and tech firms.<\/p>\n

Moradi, commercialization deputy in the ministry\u2019s research and technology office, stressed transparent acceptance of R&D costs and simpler tax and finance procedures so the credit works.<\/p>\n

Asef Karimi, the park\u2019s technology-development deputy, pointed to targeted networking among firms, investors, the university and industry. Mobarakeh Steel\u2019s venture fund based at the park is a model he hoped the Oil Ministry and NIOC would use for oil-sector needs. Building a technology portfolio, creating a market for knowledge-based products and linking university science to real plant problems could support a lasting chain from development to commercialization in oil and refining.<\/p>\n
