Sulfur in the heavy cut has fallen from about 2,500 ppm to below 10 ppm, meeting international clean-fuel standards and opening a path into marine bunkering.<\/p>\n<p>Nouri can produce about 2 million tons a year of Euro 6 gasoil on average, with room to rise depending on feedstock and the heavy-cut slate. Euro 6 is a high-spec grade familiar in European markets; making it at an Iranian petrochemical complex is a new national capability, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Investment was about \u20ac67 million in foreign currency and 2.5 trillion tomans in rials, with an estimated internal rate of return of about 29%. Roughly 70% of the project used domestic capacity, including knowledge-based firms. Needed catalysts have been localized over about three years.
