U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures gained $2.48, or 2.5%, to $102.53 a barrel.

According to Roydad Naft, oil prices continued to climb on Monday, rising more than 3% as new attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure and strikes on ships in the Middle East intensified concerns over supply disruptions.

Brent crude futures were up $3, or 2.9%, at $107.61 a barrel by 11:12 a.m. GMT after earlier touching $108.65. U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures rose $2.48, or 2.5%, to $102.53 a barrel.

Oil jumped about 9% last week as attacks in the Middle East escalated. Brent crossed $100 a barrel for the first time since July and, as it approached $110, posted its highest level since May.

The rally also pushed U.S. diesel prices above $6 a gallon for the first time on record and prompted U.S. President Donald Trump to call on Ukraine to halt attacks on Russia’s refining and diesel-production infrastructure.

Global bond markets have also come under pressure, as higher energy prices have fueled inflation and pushed interest rates higher, sending yields in several cases to multiyear highs.

Saudi officials said the kingdom’s East-West pipeline was temporarily shut after a drone attack. The line allows Saudi Arabia to export oil via the Bab el-Mandeb strait while bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. A halt could affect as much as about 4% of global oil supply.

With the pipeline offline, the Red Sea port of Yanbu has only five to seven days of export stocks, three industry sources said, a situation that could heighten global supply concerns if the disruption lasts.

Janiv Shah, an oil market analyst at Rystad Energy, said the relatively limited price reaction suggests the market still expects Saudi inventories to support exports in the near term. But if the outage lasts beyond that five-to-seven-day buffer, conditions could change quickly.

Meanwhile, Iran-aligned Yemeni Houthis reached the strategic island of Perim on Friday to tighten their hold on Bab el-Mandeb.

In the Strait of Hormuz, a vessel was struck by a projectile, sparking a fire and forcing the crew to abandon ship. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency reported the incident on Sunday.

Iran also said one person was killed and four crew members were wounded in an attack on an Iranian commercial vessel near its coast.

A meeting planned for Monday in Oman between Persian Gulf states and Iran to discuss the Strait of Hormuz was postponed. Oman’s foreign minister said the session had been put off to another date, dimming hopes of an improvement in regional shipping conditions.

Iran also published a list of 77 vessels it said had violated protocols for activity and transit in the Strait of Hormuz.

John Evans, an analyst at PVM, pointed to outages at some Russian refineries and falling oil inventories and said that until both the wars affecting oil prices end and the global refining-capacity problem is resolved, the market will keep asking how Brent can be kept from reaching $120 a barrel.

The developments come as mounting attacks and tensions in the Middle East, together with damage to energy infrastructure, have heightened concerns about the outlook for global oil supply.

Brent crude futures rose $3, or 2.9%, to $107.61 a barrel.
