RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Loading and transport operations began for the 2,300-ton Q4 living quarters platform, part of the Reshadat oil field development project, at the Iran Marine Industrial Company (SADRA) yard in Bushehr.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the launch ceremony for the platform’s load-out and transfer, Hamid Bourd, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, noted that the event coincided with Government Week. He said the Iranian Offshore Oil Company had successfully completed one of the key projects within the Reshadat field development plan.<\/p>\n

He added that the 2,300-ton Q4 platform was being loaded for sea transport before installation at the Reshadat field site.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the capacity gains expected from the development plan, Bourd said the project would add roughly 35,000 barrels to the country’s oil output and boost water injection capacity to around 80,000 barrels per day.<\/p>\n

He also thanked the staff of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company and the teams involved in the project, saying that carrying out such work under difficult operational and climate conditions demonstrated the capability of Iran’s oil industry specialists in executing complex offshore projects.<\/p>\n

Complex Oil Industry Projects Now Led by Iranian Experts<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ali Nikzad, First Deputy Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, also praised the efforts of oil industry personnel at the ceremony, saying that staff at the Iranian Offshore Oil Company and related organizations had achieved major accomplishments despite harsh weather conditions and existing constraints.<\/p>\n

He noted that the construction and preparation of the Q4 platform relied on domestic capabilities, with the structure intended for offshore installation to provide the infrastructure needed to support operational staff.<\/p>\n

Nikzad pointed to the growing role of domestic experts in offshore projects, saying that work once handled by foreign companies is now being carried out by the country’s skilled young professionals.<\/p>\n

Investment in the Oil Industry Accelerates, Powered by Domestic Capacity<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seyed Ali Madanizadeh, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, also spoke at the ceremony about major projects underway in the oil sector, noting that large-scale investments are being made in Iran’s oil industry, with a significant share of this work relying on domestic workforce capabilities.<\/p>\n

He added that tasks previously carried out by foreign firms are now being handled by Iranian youth and specialists, reflecting the country’s strong capacity to execute major oil industry projects.<\/p>\n

Another Step Toward Developing the Reshadat Field<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the report, the Q4 living quarters platform for the Reshadat field was designed and built to house operational staff and technicians stationed offshore and to improve their safety and welfare.<\/p>\n

Once load-out operations are complete, the 2,300-ton structure will be transported by sea to the Reshadat field site, where it will undergo installation and hook-up onto its supporting base and substructure.<\/p>\n
