{"id":1700,"date":"2022-09-29T17:52:20","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T17:52:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=1700"},"modified":"2022-09-29T17:52:22","modified_gmt":"2022-09-29T17:52:22","slug":"u-s-planning-new-sanctions-on-irans-oil-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/1700\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. Planning New Sanctions On Iran\u2019s Oil Sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>The United States is planning to announce new sanctions on Iran\u2019s oil sales as early as today, according to a tweet by Bloomberg TV\u2019s Annmarie Hordern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe sanctions will focus on entities facilitating the oil trade, and will be part of a broader plan to set up sanctions on the regime in the coming weeks,\u201d Hordern said on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For months now, a new nuclear deal with Iran has kept the market on edge and has been routinely touted as \u201cimminent.\u201d A deal, however, has yet to be struck. In just the last couple of weeks, the hope of reaching a deal seemed less certain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reaching a new nuclear deal with Iran could send oil prices plummeting, with Iran finding it easier to export more oil barrels without the current sanctions. A new round of sanctions from the United States on Iran\u2019s oil exports\u2014what one would assume could be secondary sanctions on those helping to facilitate Iran\u2019s oil trade\u2014would likely have the opposite effect on oil prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the United States prepares to announce additional sanctions on Iran\u2019s oil sales\u2014the announcement alone which would certainly send prices upwards to some degree\u2014it is sending the clear message to the U.S. oil and gas industry that gasoline prices are still too high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wednesday evening, U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said that gasoline prices should be 30 cents lower than they are currently. \u201cPrices at the pump should be falling, not rising.
