RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0The head of information and communications technology at the National Iranian Gas Co. said a new digital platform for industrial gas applicants has made the licensing and gas supply process more transparent, agile and secure.<\/p>\n

According to the National Iranian Gas Company, Mohammad Seraji said Monday (Feb. 23) at the unveiling ceremony for the industrial gas supply service that applicants seeking to build or expand industrial units previously had to complete multiple steps through correspondence and in-person visits, requiring significant time and repeated follow-ups.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the launch of this platform, applicants enter the process through a single land window and can track all required permits, including gas supply, in an integrated, nonpresence format,\u201d he said. \u201cThis marks an important step toward improving the business environment and accelerating services for the industrial sector.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seraji pointed to the project\u2019s technical foundations, saying spatial data had been collected in recent years by provincial gas companies and operational regions and uploaded in standardized formats to the company\u2019s Integrated Geographic Information system, or IGN.<\/p>\n

Data Integration and Standardization<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seraji said data integration and standardization are key features of the platform, helping eliminate fragmented information and achieve data consistency. He added that the system uses a service-oriented architecture to ensure flexibility and enable seamless data exchange with other systems.<\/p>\n

He emphasized the importance of information security, saying security considerations were incorporated from the design stage. In recent tests, the system demonstrated acceptable performance on security metrics.<\/p>\n

Seraji said the Integrated Gas Network Analysis system, or SGN, has also been added to the platform. Through data exchange, SGN streamlines and accelerates design processes for technical experts.<\/p>\n

He described digital transformation as an organizational mandate, noting that the company is at the beginning of its digital journey. \u201cLaunching these platforms represents the first steps toward conducting work processes in a transparent, secure and agile manner,\u201d he said. \u201cIt also enables stakeholders to monitor and track different stages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faster Access to Services<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seraji said the platform and similar systems could deliver significant benefits to the National Iranian Gas Co. while giving citizens and economic actors faster access to services and updates on application status.<\/p>\n

\u201cApplicants can now see exactly where their case stands at each stage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He thanked provincial gas companies, the gas supply management division, the planning management of the National Iranian Gas Co., the Oil Ministry\u2019s planning deputy and other related organizations for their cooperation. One of the project\u2019s most important outcomes, he said, is the nationwide unification and standardization of processes.<\/p>\n

Seraji noted that some procedures were previously paper-based and varied by province, with differing methods and occasional discretionary practices affecting workflows. \u201cWith the launch of this platform, processes are now integrated, clearly defined and harmonized at the national level,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that through collective work and the use of provincial expertise, a uniform and standardized process has been established across the National Iranian Gas Co., providing a foundation for the future expansion of smart services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the beginning of the path,\u201d Seraji said. \u201cWith synergy and collaboration across all sectors, we can take bigger steps in digital transformation and deliver more valuable services to the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
