He highlighted the approaching International Workers\u2019 Day early next year and stressed the importance of timely planning to ensure the event is held in an even more impressive manner.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing appreciation for the managers\u2019 attendance at the meeting, he said: \u201cGiven the busy end-of-year schedule, the fact that this session has taken place demonstrates just how seriously the human resources managers view this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hayati identified one of the main focuses of the meeting as the launch of structured planning for Workers\u2019 Day celebrations and the timely and accurate identification of exemplary workers from each unit.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the successful experience of this year\u2019s main Workers\u2019 Day ceremony, he added: \u201cThis year, International Workers\u2019 Day was marked by widespread participation and the presence of national officials, which received an extremely positive response among workers in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cFor next year, by reviewing the previous programme and incorporating feedback from managers and labour relations experts, we will strive to raise the quality of the event even further.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Two key missions of the Labour and Employment Services Department<\/p>\n<p>The Director then outlined the two core responsibilities of his department, stating: \u201cRegulating the labour market and regulating labour relations are our two primary duties.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A serious provincial demand: prioritising local workforce employment<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cIn the area of the labour market, giving priority to hiring local workers from the region remains a key demand of the province, and we expect companies to show greater cooperation in this regard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hayati also stressed the importance of expanding skills training and workforce empowerment programmes in collaboration with companies.<\/p>\n<p>50% reduction in labour dispute cases<\/p>\n<p>He noted that preventive measures in the field of labour relations had yielded excellent results, saying: \u201cThrough the establishment of in-house reconciliation councils and specialised training sessions, we have achieved more than a 50% reduction in labour dispute cases across the region\u2014a remarkable figure that is the result of constructive cooperation between employers and relevant authorities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Priority: recruiting local workers<\/p>\n<p>Hayati further emphasised the need for coordination on matters such as the timely submission of statistics, careful management of workforce reductions while respecting priorities, and prompt payment of workers\u2019 entitlements. He stated: \u201cOur policy on recruitment is to give priority to local workers. Where redundancies are unavoidable, they must be handled thoughtfully, in coordination, and with due regard for regional fairness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emphasis on timely payment of wages and benefits<\/p>\n<p>Regarding workers\u2019 pay and benefits, he said: \u201cPaying workers\u2019 wages and entitlements on time is both a legal and contractual obligation, and we expect companies to pay particular attention to this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, Hayati said: \u201cOur goal is to strengthen interactions, reduce challenges, and move towards continuous improvement in the areas of labour and employment.
