RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0The National Iranian Gas Co.\u2019s director for production coordination and supervision stressed the need to maintain 100% operational readiness at South Pars refineries amid severe cold weather, saying stable gas production and transmission are critical under current conditions.<\/p>\n

According to the South Pars Gas Complex, Mohammadreza Joulaei said at a meeting Tuesday with the complex\u2019s CEO, refinery managers and senior officials that recent freezing temperatures\u2014and forecasts showing the cold persisting into next week\u2014make full operational alert unavoidable to ensure the stability of the country\u2019s gas production.<\/p>\n

He said no reduction or interruption in output is acceptable, adding that meeting peak demand requires full readiness and precise process management. Strict compliance with safety requirements, continuous unit monitoring and accurate implementation of operational plans are top priorities during this sensitive period, he said.<\/p>\n

Joulaei also emphasized that essential maintenance across refinery units must be carried out according to schedule and with full coordination among departments to prevent even the smallest disruption to production.<\/p>\n

Refinery preparedness for harsh weather<\/strong><\/p>\n

Highlighting the importance of coordination among South Pars\u2019 13 refineries, Joulaei said greater synergy, proper task coverage and enhanced operational oversight are needed to raise preparedness for severe weather.<\/p>\n

He noted that forecasts indicate subzero temperatures across much of the country in the coming days, driving a sharp rise in gas demand from residential, commercial and industrial users. Daily consumption could exceed 700 million cubic meters, he said, underscoring the vital importance of maintaining stable gas production and transmission.<\/p>\n

Joulaei credited the vigilance of refinery managers, specialists and operational staff as key to navigating current conditions successfully, saying round-the-clock efforts and careful management can help the gas industry get through the winter with minimal challenges and maximum stability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
