RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0The deputy director of operations and support at Pars Oil and Gas Company announced the successful completion of major overhauls on offshore platforms in the shared South Pars field, saying all platforms have now returned to production.<\/p>\n

Sepahdar Abbaszadeh said the maintenance program \u2014 completed safely and without incident \u2014 involved around 150,000 person-hours of work, ensuring safe and stable gas production during the cold season.<\/p>\n

Abbaszadeh praised the around-the-clock efforts of the company\u2019s offshore teams who worked under intense summer heat to carry out the overhaul program. \u201cOut of 37 production platforms, 35 were scheduled for major maintenance in the 1404 (2025\u201326) program year,\u201d he said. \u201cThanks to God, the work was completed fully and without accidents, with about 150,000 person-hours spent by our colleagues to finish the project.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the overhaul operations began in late April and continued until Oct. 19, preparing Pars Oil and Gas Company to meet its production commitments during the winter.<\/p>\n

Abbaszadeh highlighted three key projects carried out alongside routine maintenance. The first was the replacement of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems on platforms in phases 6 and 7, which had caused issues in previous years. The second involved completing and commissioning the gas pressure equalization project across platforms in phases 4 through 8. The third project was the replacement of 32-inch outlet valves on phases 9 and 10 platforms, enhancing their operational safety.<\/p>\n

He thanked all team members for their dedication and emphasized that such overhauls, alongside routine maintenance, play a vital role in sustaining production and ensuring platform safety.<\/p>\n

According to Shana, timely and accurate overhaul operations guarantee the stable extraction of gas from South Pars and the country\u2019s energy supply during the winter months. The shared field not only provides more than 70% of Iran\u2019s domestic gas consumption but also supplies feedstock to the Assaluyeh gas refineries and downstream petrochemical plants, contributing significantly to the nation\u2019s strategic production of energy products.<\/p>\n

About 40% of Iran\u2019s gasoline production is indirectly derived from gas condensate extracted from the South Pars field, which is processed at the Persian Gulf Star Refinery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
