RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0The managing director of Abadan Oil Refining Company announced that efforts are underway to complete the remaining sections of Phase 2 and launch Phase 4 of the Abadan refinery to enhance the quality of refined products.<\/p>\n

According to the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), Fardin Rashidi said Saturday, during a meeting with members of the Parliament\u2019s Environment and Natural Resources Caucus, that several environmental and social responsibility projects are being implemented at the refinery. These include securing the refinery\u2019s electricity supply, participating in water treatment projects, reducing air pollutants, replacing road transport with waterborne transport for refined products, and completing Phases 2 and 4 to produce higher-quality fuels.<\/p>\n

Rashidi said these initiatives aim to improve energy efficiency and product quality at one of Iran\u2019s oldest refineries.<\/p>\n

\n

Abadan Refinery\u2019s historical identity<\/strong><\/p>\n

Somayeh Rafiei, head of the Parliament\u2019s Environment and Natural Resources Caucus, highlighted the refinery\u2019s historic significance, describing it as a symbol of Iran\u2019s national and revolutionary identity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThroughout history, the Abadan refinery has stood not only as a fuel production hub but as a national pride and symbol of Iranian dignity,\u201d Rafiei said. \u201cIts story must be passed on to future generations.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also emphasized the need to better address employee welfare and environmental issues at the refinery.<\/p>\n

Sustained focus on environmental protection<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Houshang Hadianpour, a member of the Parliament\u2019s Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources and Environment Committee, underlined the importance of environmental protection and funding for conservation efforts.<\/p>\n

Seyed Mohammad Moulavi, vice chairman of the Parliament\u2019s Education Committee, praised Abadan refinery workers for their efforts under difficult conditions and called for greater attention to their livelihoods.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
