RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday criticized the misuse of diesel fuel quotas, saying some individuals receive fuel allocations but do not operate their vehicles, instead selling their quotas.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome people receive diesel quotas but do not use their vehicles \u2014 they just sell the quotas. These practices must be corrected,\u201d Pezeshkian said in response to remarks by a member of Iran\u2019s Chamber of Commerce about diesel shortages.<\/p>\n

According to the presidential website, Pezeshkian made the comments during a meeting with members of the Iran Chamber of Commerce on Monday, Oct. 6. He emphasized the importance of national unity and cohesion, saying, \u201cI deeply believe that the key to a society\u2019s success lies in unity and cohesion \u2014 and I have scientific grounds for this belief. Such cohesion is only possible through fairness and justice toward one another.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president assessed Iran\u2019s economic relations with regional unions and neighboring countries as positive, adding that the country maintains strong ties with regional states, the Eurasian Economic Union, BRICS members, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. \u201cThey have also expressed willingness to cooperate with us; we just need to define mechanisms for collaboration,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Pezeshkian said the government is ready to include representatives from the Chamber of Commerce in official delegations abroad so they can pursue the chamber\u2019s objectives during international visits.<\/p>\n

He also stressed the determination of the country\u2019s top officials to resolve economic challenges. \u201cThere is currently the highest level of coordination among the heads of the three branches of government, all actively working to address issues in production and the economy,\u201d he said. \u201cThe government is determined to continue reforms aimed at improving efficiency, even though some entities are trying to resist these changes. We will stay, stand firm, and confront those who seek to block our path.\u201d<\/p>\n

The meeting was also attended by the ministers of industry, mining and trade, and economy and finance, as well as the head of the Plan and Budget Organization. They voiced their support for the private sector and outlined their respective support programs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
