The main jacket weighs 750 tons, which rises to about 2,000 tons when including attachments. It will be installed at a depth of about 13 meters after construction and transportation.<\/p>\n<p>Khoramabadi highlighted the country\u2019s growing engineering and fabrication capacity in offshore industries, noting that the North Pars field\u2014discovered in 1967\u2014was initially slated for development in the 1970s before plans were halted. The project has now been revived under updated strategies and with the latest technical expertise as part of the National Iranian Oil Company\u2019s long-term development agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The North Pars gas field is one of Iran\u2019s largest independent fields and among the biggest of its kind globally. It is located about 120 kilometers southeast of Bushehr, 10 to 15 kilometers off the coast, with a reservoir depth of around 4,000 meters.
