RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said the oil industry achieved full self-sufficiency in development and production during tough sanction years, attributing the success to the relentless efforts of Iranian experts, specialists, and youth.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the industry\u2019s self-reliance was pursued diligently under the guidance of Imam Khomeini and Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.<\/p>\n

Speaking Wednesday on the sidelines of the 36th anniversary of Imam Khomeini\u2019s passing, Paknejad stressed the oil industry\u2019s firm belief in achieving true self-sufficiency. \u201cDespite facing the harshest Western sanctions, Iranian specialists and youth attained self-sufficiency across various sectors,\u201d he said. \u201cThis period showcased the capabilities of our oil industry experts, and today, all development and production activities are managed by skilled Iranian professionals and companies.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that Imam Khomeini consistently emphasized self-reliance, and the Leader has repeatedly reinforced this principle. \u201cThis approach guides our oil industry, and I believe colleagues in other sectors are also following this path with determination,\u201d Paknejad added.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Oil Ministry\u2019s steps to accelerate development contracts<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Referring to the \u201cTransformation in Investment and Development in Iran\u2019s Upstream Oil and Gas\u201d event\u2014aligned with the Leader\u2019s directives and this year\u2019s slogan, \u201cInvestment for Production\u201d\u2014Paknejad said over $130 billion in investment opportunities were presented. These packages allow Iranian and foreign companies to participate in projects under defined contractual frameworks.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the importance of public investment, stating, \u201cOur focus is on this sector, and leveraging significant public capital is a priority for the oil industry.\u201d Measures have been devised to streamline investment absorption and public participation.<\/p>\n

On contract facilitation, Paknejad said, \u201cThe Supreme Leader emphasized last year that contract finalization must be expedited. Fortunately, this guidance proved effective\u2014previously, some contracts took over three years, but with new government and Economic Council approvals, this has been reduced to under nine months. This is a key achievement following the Supreme Leader\u2019s directives, now yielding results.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
