{"id":14382,"date":"2025-06-01T08:14:43","date_gmt":"2025-06-01T08:14:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=14382"},"modified":"2025-06-01T08:14:43","modified_gmt":"2025-06-01T08:14:43","slug":"indian-oil-to-build-green-hydrogen-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/14382\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Oil to build Green Hydrogen project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\"><p><span class=\"pre-content-text\"><a style=\"color: #0038a8;\" href=\"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/\">RoydadNaft &#8211; <\/a><\/span>\u00a0In a major step towards promoting clean energy in India, IndianOil has finalised the Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) for setting up a 10,000 Tonnes Per Annum Green Hydrogen Generation Unit at its Panipat Refinery &amp; Petrochemical Complex.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"21\">This project marks IndianOil\u2019s entry into the green hydrogen <span data-hl-word=\"sector\" data-reader-unique-id=\"22\">sector<\/span><\/p>\n<p>and will be the largest green hydrogen initiative in India to date. The company in a statement on Friday, stated that \u201cSlated for commissioning by December 2027, the Green Hydrogen produced will replace fossil-derived Hydrogen in refinery operations, resulting in substantial reduction in Carbon emissions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"34\">The plant is expected to be commissioned by December 2027. The green hydrogen produced at this facility will replace the fossil-fuel-based hydrogen currently used in the refinery\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"35\">This transition is expected to significantly cut down carbon emissions, helping IndianOil move towards a more sustainable and environment-friendly model.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"36\">The company also added that this initiative is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s vision under the National Green Hydrogen Mission and forms a critical part of IndianOil\u2019s larger decarbonization strategy.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"37\">The project also supports the company\u2019s Net Zero target and demonstrates its commitment to leading India\u2019s shift towards a cleaner and greener energy future.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"38\">Earlier, Arvinder Singh Sahney, Chairman of IOC, during an exclusive conversation with ANI at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, stated that the plant, with a production capacity of 10,000 tons per annum, had made substantial progress.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"39\">\u201cGreen hydrogen plant is now alive. We have got very good bids for it. And now the tenders are under evaluation.
