RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Touraj Dehqani said that his company has four plans to develop gas fields, including Kish, North Pars, Balal, and Farzad over the next five years, aiming for a 200 to 250 million cubic meter increase in extraction.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the sidelines of the third day of the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025), Dehqani noted that the gas extraction ceiling from the shared South Pars field will reach 722 million cubic meters (mcm) per day in early mounths of 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dehqani noted that last year, the daily gas extraction record from South Pars reached 716 mcm, up by 10 million cubic meters comparing to its previous year record of 706 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a relevant report in mid-February, Gholamabbas Hosseini, the CEO of Iran\u2019s South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC), pointed to the stability of gas production across all refineries in Phases 1 and 2 of South Pars, adding, \u201cRenovation and maintenance operations for various pumps, boilers, and turbo-compressors are being successfully carried out using the expertise and innovative approaches of South Pars specialists.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hosseini noted that significant achievements have been made in maintaining production stability through both short-term and long-term maintenance efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

He emphasized that gas production across the South Pars Gas Complex refineries is now stable, and with the support of creative and innovative experts, there are no issues in maintaining units, parts, or strategic equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n

South Pars gas field is the largest independent gas reserve in the world which is shared by Iran \u200e<\/span>and Qatar. The field is \u200e\u200f105\u200f<\/span>\u200e<\/span> kilometers away from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone. The \u200e<\/span>reservoir covers \u200e\u200f9,700\u200f<\/span>\u200e<\/span> square kilometers in total with \u200e\u200f3,700\u200f<\/span>\u200e<\/span> square kilometers belonging to Iran. \u200e<\/span>According to latest figures, the field contains more than \u200e\u200f51\u200f<\/span>\u200e<\/span> trillion cubic meters of natural \u200e<\/span> gas. It stands for about \u200e\u200f48\u200f<\/span>\u200e<\/span> percent of Iran\u2019s confirmed reserves.<\/span><\/p>\n
