RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0The manager of a site at the South Pars Gas Complex described the role of the complex\u2019s refineries in supplying feedstock to the Persian Gulf Star Refinery as strategic, stating that since the beginning of this year (March 20, 2024), over 135 million barrels of gas condensates have been sent from South Pars refineries to the Persian Gulf Star Refinery.<\/p>\n

Hossein Shamshiri, speaking on Tuesday, noted that the South Pars Complex processes gas extracted from the South Pars joint field, supplying more than 73% of the country\u2019s gas needs.<\/p>\n

He added that the complex also produces a significant volume of gas condensates and other gas products, which not only meet the feedstock requirements of domestic industries but also contribute to substantial export revenue, playing a key role in the country\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n

Shamshiri emphasized that the complex produces 710,000 barrels of gas condensates daily. As Iran\u2019s hub for gas and gas condensate production, it supplies approximately 450,000 barrels of gas condensates daily to the Persian Gulf Star Refinery, the world\u2019s largest gas condensate refinery. This supply plays a vital role in gasoline production and the country\u2019s self-sufficiency in meeting its strategic energy needs.<\/p>\n

The South Pars Gas Complex manager explained that the complex\u2019s refineries provide the necessary feedstock for the Persian Gulf Star Refinery to produce gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other products. A 388-kilometer pipeline transports gas condensates from Asaluyeh to the west of Bandar Abbas, creating a self-sufficient chain for producing energy products like gasoline and diesel in the southern region.<\/p>\n

Shamshiri also noted that since the beginning of this year, over 4 million barrels of gas condensates have been sent to the Nouri Petrochemical Plant.<\/p>\n

Located 25 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, the Persian Gulf Star Gas Condensate Refinery is one of the country\u2019s key refineries. It produces 42 million liters of gasoline and about 14 million liters of diesel daily, contributing more than 45% to the country\u2019s fuel supply, particularly gasoline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
