RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0India\u2019s oil consumption is projected to rise to 7 million barrels per day (mbd) by 2030 from 5 mbd in 2022 in the \u2018current trajectory\u2019 scenario of the latest BP\u2019s Energy Outlook.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s oil consumption is projected to rise to 17 mbd from 14 mbd in the same period while the oil demand in the US is expected to decline to 18 mbd from 19 mbd. India will remain the world\u2019s third-largest oil consumer in 2030, behind the US and China, as it is today.<\/p>\n

In the same scenario, India\u2019s natural gas consumption rises about two-thirds to 97 billion cubic meters (BCM) in 2030 from 58 BCM in 2022. China\u2019s gas consumption increases by 22% to 458 BCM in 2030 while the USA\u2019s rise by 4% to 917 BCM.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s primary energy consumption expands by 30% to 55 exajoules in 2030 while China\u2019s rises by 7% to 157 exajoules in the \u2018current trajectory\u2019 scenario. Consumption in the US will fall to 87 exajoules in 2030 from 88 exajoules in 2022.
\nIn the net zero scenario, primary energy consumption rises to 53 exajoules by 2030 for India, 148 exajoules for China and drops to 84 exajoules for the US.<\/p>\n

Oil consumption rises to 6 mbd by 2030 for India and 16 mbd for China in net zero scenario. US consumption drops to 17 mbd.<\/p>\n

At 97 BCM, the natural gas consumption remains the same for India in both scenarios. However, it\u2019s lower for China and the US in the net zero scenario at 447 BCM and 845 BCM respectively.<\/p>\n

In the current trajectory scenario, India\u2019s renewable energy consumption rises to 11 exajoules by 2030, up 22% from 9 exajoules in 2022. In the net zero scenario, it accelerates to 13 exajoules by 2030.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s renewable consumption rises to 16 exajoules in the current trajectory and 22 exajoules in the net zero scenario from 10 exajoules in 2022. In the US, renewable energy consumption increases to 12 exajoules and 14 exajoules in the two scenarios respectively from 7 exajoules in 2022.<\/p>\n
