<\/a><\/span>\u00a0India\u2019s government-owned energy company Oil &amp; Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has placed two orders deemed<em data-reader-unique-id=\"3\"> \u201clarge\u201d <\/em>with compatriot company Larsen &amp; Toubro related to subsea work.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"7\">Larsen &amp; Toubro\u2019s Hydrocarbon vertical (L&amp;T Energy) will perform engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of four wellhead platforms, a 140-kilometer pipeline, and associated topside modifications for Daman Upside Development Project-Wellhead Platforms &amp; Pipelines (DUDP-WP), off India\u2019s west coast.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"8\"><strong data-reader-unique-id=\"9\">Subramanian Sarma<\/strong>, Whole-time Director and President (Energy) at L&amp;T said: <em data-reader-unique-id=\"10\">\u201cThis order demonstrates ONGC\u2019s confidence in L&amp;T forged through execution of multiple complex offshore projects and also reinforces L&amp;T\u2019s commitment to contribute towards India\u2019s energy security.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"11\">In another statement, the Indian firm announced it had also received an order from ONGC for the eighth phase of a pipeline replacement project, under which it will engineer, procure, construct, install and commission 129-kilometer subsea pipelines across India\u2019s west coast offshore fields.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"12\">Larsen &amp; Toubro defines <em data-reader-unique-id=\"13\">\u201clarge\u201d<\/em> contracts as those worth between 25 billion Indian rupees and 50 billion rupees (between circa $299.6 million and $599.2 million).<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"30\">ONGC in March held a flag-off ceremony for the first crude oil offtake from a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel working at Krishna Godavari, said to be the first deepwater development located off India\u2019s east coast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-reader-unique-id=\"32\">The milestone came a couple of months after the company achieved the first oil from the\u00a0KG-DWN-98\/2\u00a0deepwater block off the coast of the Bay of Bengal.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2024-07-02T07:44:40+00:00\"> 2 July 2024<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"India\u2019s government-owned energy company Oil &#038;
