{"id":10308,"date":"2024-04-04T13:26:31","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T13:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=10308"},"modified":"2024-04-04T13:26:31","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T13:26:31","slug":"the-discovery-of-new-oil-resources-in-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/10308\/","title":{"rendered":"The discovery of new oil resources in Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\"><p><span class=\"pre-content-text\"><a style=\"color: #0038a8;\" href=\"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/\">RoydadNaft &#8211; <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Iran&#8217;s National Oil Company has declared the discovery of new oil resources in the country.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) says the country has discovered shale oil deposits in 10 different locations across the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The director of exploration at the NIOC, Mehdi Fakour, announced that the company&#8217;s specially designed model will enable the extraction of oil from these resources.<\/p>\n<p>Fakour stated that in the previous Iranian calendar year (which ended March 19, 2024), more than 2.5 billion barrels of oil were added to Iran&#8217;s crude oil and natural gas reserves with new exploration activities.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the discoveries will be announced by the oil minister soon.<\/p>\n<p>Domestic companies possess significant potential for extracting oil shale resources, Fakour emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he announced the development of a unique and localized model in the country, which has yet to be adopted elsewhere globally.<\/p>\n<p>The official went on to say that the extraction of shale oil in the United States costs approximately $40 per barrel.
